Giving Back Together

Community Service

Our community grows stronger when we serve together.

At LASO, giving back is at the heart of who we are. We partner with local organizations to make a real difference in the Columbia community and beyond. Every act of service strengthens our bonds and reflects our values.

Featured Opportunities

Mano a Mano

Join us for the Mano a Mano food drive and volunteer initiative — a chance to make a real difference in the lives of Columbia community members in need. Together, hand in hand, we create change.

Work alongside fellow LASO members to collect and distribute food, support local families, and embody our organization's spirit of service.

Spanish Medical Interpreter Volunteers Needed

Use your Spanish skills to make a difference! The Good Samaritan Clinic is seeking bilingual volunteers to serve as Spanish Medical Interpreters in its free medical clinics. No formal interpreting experience is required — volunteers simply need to be comfortable communicating in both English and Spanish, and on-site training will be provided.

It's a meaningful opportunity for bilingual students to use their Spanish skills to help make healthcare more accessible for Spanish-speaking members of our community.

Volunteer Schedule

OB Clinic

Because of the sensitive nature of women's health visits and in accordance with many patients' preferences, volunteers for the OB and GYN clinics must be female. Volunteer opportunities at the Lexington Clinic are open to individuals of all genders.
