The Latin American Student Organization (LASO) at USC is a vibrant community of students united by a shared love for Latino cultures, community, and leadership. We host events, provide resources, and create a welcoming space for everyone.

Whether you identify as Latino, have Latin American heritage, or simply want to learn more about our cultures — you are welcome here. LASO is open to all USC students.

LASO is a registered student organization at the University of South Carolina, proudly operating under Student Government and recognized by the Office of Student Life.
Our History
The Latin American Student Organization (LASO) was established in 1997 at the University of South Carolina. For nearly three decades, LASO has served as a home away from home where students can celebrate Latin American cultures, build lifelong friendships, develop as leaders, and give back to the community. Today, LASO continues to foster belonging while sharing the richness and diversity of Latin America with the entire Carolina community.
